HOW IT BEGAN
A mother who refused to settle.
In 2008, while pregnant with her youngest child, founder Jen Lugo began questioning the products she had trusted for her family. What she learned frightened her—but she refused to remain powerless. She educated herself, learned to formulate, and created the effective alternatives she could not find.
That determination became Verefina: personal care made with clarity, purpose, and uncompromising attention to both ingredients and performance.
FROM FEAR TO PURPOSE
What began as fear became something useful.
We will never tell you that caring about ingredients is irrational—or that every choice must be perfect. Fear was part of Jen’s beginning. Education became the way through it: replacing uncertainty with understanding and helplessness with action.
That spirit still guides Verefina today. We ask harder questions, look beyond the front of the label, and share what we know so you can make informed choices with confidence.
